U4GM COD MW4 Beta Access and Weapon Guide
#1

Modern Warfare 4's multiplayer beta gives players a proper chance to get comfortable before the October 23, 2026 launch. Pre-order customers can enter from August 21 to 25, while everyone else can join the Open Beta from August 28 to September 1. If you want a quieter way to practise movement and weapon handling, MW4 Bot Lobbies may also appeal to players who are still learning the new combat system, though the beta itself is built around real multiplayer matches and live testing.

Access, Invitations, And Early Content

The first weekend begins alongside the Call of Duty: NEXT showcase on August 21 at 9:00 a.m. Pacific Time. Activision is also expected to email selected players with special invitations. Those players still need to RSVP; receiving the message alone will not confirm a place. Check the email linked to your Activision account before the event starts. Vault Edition owners get extra beta content, including the Hostile Alliance and Special Forces Operator Packs, plus five weapon blueprints. The Hunter Killer skin is not usable in this beta.

Weapons And Carryover Rewards

Around 19 of the 24 launch weapons are planned for testing. That is enough to compare assault rifles, SMGs, and longer-range options across different map layouts. You will notice differences in recoil, reload speed, aiming time, and movement penalties pretty quickly. Balance can still change before launch, so do not assume the strongest beta gun will stay on top. Beta ranks also unlock rewards that transfer to the full game.

Beta Rank Reward Track

Rank Reward
4 Emblem
8 Charm
12 Weapon Sticker
16 Calling Card
20 Beta Operator Skin
23 Spray
26 Loading Screen
30 Assault Rifle Blueprint

Rank 30 is the target for players chasing every item. The first weekend may stop at rank 15 or 20, so you might need the Open Beta to finish the track. Play matches to the end, choose objective modes when they suit you, and keep checking the progression screen. Captures, defences, and team actions can add useful experience alongside eliminations.

What Resets At Launch

The rewards stay attached to the Activision account you use during testing, but beta rank, weapon levels, and ordinary multiplayer progress will be wiped before release. That keeps early testers from starting October with a permanent advantage. Use the event to learn the maps, movement, and objectives, and report crashes or connection problems when they appear. Returning for both weekends is the safest way to reach rank 30 while trying cheap MW4 Bot Lobbies as an optional practice route.
